Ghanaian topflight fold FC Samartex have announced the capture of Golden Kick FC captain Roland Grippman in the ongoing transfer window.

The stalwart center-back finally settled on the Timber Giants despite having lots of clubs knocking with the details of his contract not revealed yet

Grippman has been one of the standout performers in Division One over the past two seasons, catching the eye with his composure on the ball, aerial ability, and leadership at the back.

With 36 appearances in all competitions last season, he didn’t only draw interest from other Premier League sides but has now earned a well-deserved move to one of the most ambitious clubs in the Ghanaian top flight.

His move also marks a major milestone for Golden Kick SC, who have continued to develop and produce quality talent for the domestic league. The 22-year-old defender’s rise through the ranks is a testament to the club’s commitment to nurturing young players.

FC Samartex, who finished the 2024/25 season in the top half of the table, are actively reshaping their squad under the guidance of their technical team as they aim to build on last season’s progress.

The acquisition of Roland Grippman is viewed as a long-term investment in strengthening the club’s defensive stability and have also made three more signings so far namely Sabi Acquah Ferdinand, Abdul Latif and Augustine Kofi Ofori
