Berekum Chelsea, a prominent club in the Ghanaian Premier League, has appointed former Accra Hearts of Oak coach Samuel Boadu as their new head coach.
The club had been without a permanent coach since the departure of Christopher Ennin after the first round of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season.
Boadu has signed a one-year contract with Berekum Chelsea, stepping in to fill the void left by Christopher Ennin's departure.
Boadu brings with him a wealth of experience, having previously guided Accra Hearts of Oak to victory in the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League and the MTN FA Cup during the 2021/22 season.
Prior to his tenure at Hearts of Oak, Boadu served as the head coach of Medeama SC and held coaching positions within the Ghanaian national team setup, including as head coach of the Ghana national U-15 team and assistant coach of the Ghana national U-20 team.
With Berekum Chelsea currently sitting sixth on the league table with 30 points from 19 games, Boadu is tasked with leading the team to success in the Ghana Premier League.
