Bechem United have rejected champions Asante Kotoko's bid for the service of Osei Kuffour and Iddrisu Abdulai.
The duo have strongly being linked with a move to the giants even before the campaign was wrapped following their stellar display in the just ended Ghana Premier League season.
Goalkeeper Abdulai Iddrisu was outstanding in goal for the Hunters, having kept solid 18 clean sheets in the league- an unprecedented feet in the Ghanaian topflight.
Young center-back Osei Kuffour was also fantastic in his debut season, having established a solid partnership with skipper Kofi Agbesimah in the heart of defence.
Club Spokesperson, Emmanuel Gyasi has confirmed they received a double offer from Kotoko but ended up turning it down since the presence of the aforementioned players will be really malleable to their squad for the upcoming season. He told Akoma FM in Kumasi;
"I can confirm that Asante Kotoko wrote to us for the services of Emmanuel Osei Kuffour and goalkeeper Iddrisu Abdulai when the season ended."
"But our President Mr. Agama in consultation with management decided not to sell these two players because we really need them. We have therefore decided not to let them go."
"Unless something dramatically occur, they will be playing for Bechem Utd come next season." He added
