Asante Kotoko SC have removed the picture of Life Patron, Otumfour Osei Tutu II from the club's designed jersey for the 2022/23 season, kickgh.com can report.
After broader consultation and talks between Manhyia and other deeper throats within the club's Management and Board, the club have decided to expunge the picture of His Royal Majesty Otumfour Osei Tutu II from the shirt.
The club announced their jersey for the 2022/23 season last Monday and has steered controversy within the media through to the Ghana Football Association where an Executive Council Member of the club gave the club go ahead to use the jersey.
However, reports indicated that, Manhyia sermoned the Management of the club to answer questions on why the picture was embossed on the shirt without first consulting the club.
The Management have finally decided to collaborate with their kit sponsors Errea to expunge the picture of the King from the jersey for next season.
