Nations FC captain Emmanuel Boahen has made it clear that his team's primary goal for their inaugural season in the top-flight is to secure their place in the league.

The Abrankese-based team earned their promotion from the Division One League last season, surpassing Skyy FC, and they are now preparing for the upcoming season, which kicks off this weekend.

Since their promotion, Nations FC has made significant changes, including appointing former Bechem United coach Kasim Mingle and announcing the signing of key players to strengthen the team ahead of the season.

Boahen is confident that his team is well-prepared and determined to maintain their status in the Ghana Premier League.

“We are determined for our maiden Ghana Premier League season. We fought hard in the Division One League before we secured qualification to the top-flight, we can't play in the Premier League and be relegated after just a season. Our aim is to stay in the Premier League. we will do everything we can to maintain our status in the league” he said.

Although Nations FC suffered a defeat in their pre-season friendly against Hearts of Oak, the team is eager to bounce back in their next match. Their opening Ghana Premier League game against Dreams FC has been postponed due to their opponent's involvement in the CAF Confederation Cup.
