Hearts of Oak midfielder Glid Otanga has declared that his team is fully prepared to face Real Tamale United in the opening match of the Ghana Premier League.
The new domestic top-flight season is set to kick off this weekend, and Hearts of Oak is scheduled to play against Real Tamale United in an away fixture at the Aliu Mahama Stadium.
After concluding their preseason with a convincing 2-0 victory over the Ghana Premier League newcomers, Nations FC, on Sunday at the Kpobiman Complex, the Congolese midfielder expressed his team's readiness to take on RTU in the GPL season opener on Friday.
Otanga started the match but was substituted in the second half, just before Nurudeen Aziz scored the opening goal for the Phobians.
“We are ready for the season. We’ve prepared for over a month and I think we are ready to challenge Real Tamale United in the season opener” he said.
Hearts of Oak is determined to secure another Ghana Premier League title in the new season after experiencing a drought in the previous campaign.
