Asante Kotoko head coach Prosper Ogum says self-confidence, and resilience were key to his side's win over Aduana Stars on Sunday.
The Porcupine Warriors secured a 2-0 victory over the Fire Boys at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park in Dormaa.
Goals from Patrick Asiedu and Albert Amoah lifted Kotoko to the 7th position (on 18 points) with 12 matches into the season.
Speaking after the Aduana game, Ogum says his players were well-prepared and calm for the crucial match despite the difficulty in playing the two-time league champions in Dormaa.
“It’s about self-confidence, it’s about determination. Playing in Dormaa has nothing to do with tactics, it has something to do with the confidence of the team, the determination of the team, the aggression of the team, and I think the calmness of the team.
“If you look at the way we played, we were very calm because I know the venue to be an aggressive venue, and if you come aggressively, it wouldn’t help."
