Kotoko Coach Abdul Karim Zito Vows to Challenge for Every Trophy in 2025/26 Season

Asante Kotoko head coach Abdul Karim Zito has declared that his side will be in the hunt for every available trophy in the 2025/26 football season.

The Porcupine Warriors face a demanding campaign as they return to continental action. Alongside the CAF Confederation Cup, Kotoko will also contest the Ghana Premier League and the MTN FA Cup, with Zito insisting the club is determined to compete on all fronts.

“The target we have set for ourselves is to fight and win the league and every other trophy we compete for,” Zito told Akoma FM.

Kotoko will kick off their Premier League campaign with a tough away fixture against Berekum Chelsea at the Golden City Park on Saturday.

The Kumasi giants endured a turbulent 2024/25 season, struggling in the league and parting ways with coach Prosper Narteh Ogum. However, Zito—who took charge midway through the campaign—believes the new season presents the perfect opportunity to restore Kotoko’s dominance.

The two-time African champions are aiming to reclaim the Ghana Premier League title for the first time since 2022, while also making a strong push in continental football.
