Asante Kotoko head coach Karim Zito says they are still looking to win the league title and the win against Basake Holy Stars over the weekend is really a precious victory.
The Porcupine Warriors finally bounced back from a three-game winless run after putting three past the Western-based club in a thrilling match-day 20 clash of the Ghana Premier League.
It was a very exciting game at the Baba Yara Stadium and goals from captain Samba O’Neil, Albert Amoah and Kwame Opoku were enough to hand the Reds all three points.
In a pre-match interview, the experienced gaffer says his players put up a top-tier display to secure this win and added they are still in the race and wants to win the league
“It’s hard work; we increased the tempo of the training to a higher level. Because, after this, there is no opportunity again," he said.
“So, we have to go all out and execute our plan.
“Why not? We still have our eyes set on the league title. Its reaming 14 matches and we can do it," Zito said when asked about winning the title.”
Asante Kotoko are currently sitting in third place with 35 points and will travel to Heart of Lions next
