The Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, has expressed his unwavering support for Medeama SC as they gear up to represent the nation in the upcoming 2023/24 CAF Champions League.
During a special ceremony held in Accra, Medeama SC and their management presented the league trophy to Parliament, marking a significant moment for the football club as they received recognition and endorsement from the highest legislative body in the country.
Addressing the attendees, Bagbin made a firm commitment on behalf of Parliament, stating, "I want to assure you that the entire house stands with Medeama SC as they embark on their continental journey, and we will do everything in our power to ensure that they bring the African Cup home to Ghana."
"This I will proceed to enforce to ensure that they get the necessary resources and motivation to surprise the continent by winning the cup."
Furthermore, Bagbin pledged a sum of GH₵100,000 to support Medeama ahead of their participation in the forthcoming CAF Champions League, demonstrating his dedication to providing the necessary resources and motivation for the team to make a significant impact on the continent.
