The Parliamentary select committee on sports has called on the executives of the Ghana League Clubs Association, GHALCA to deliberate on the passage of the long-in-the-pipe sports bill.
The sports bill will look set to identify new modifications of sports management in the country which will give varied opportunities for all and sundry with requisite know-how to contribute to sports in the country.
The bill which was supposed to be passed some years ago will help in the promotion and development of the sector in the country as juxtaposed to the developed world.
The sports bill is now almost set for passage by parliament and will take full effect immediately after its passage.
The executives of GHALCA will also deliberate on the upcoming President Cup to be held on the Republic Day, 1st July, 2016 between Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The General Manager of Kotoko, Opoku Nti represented the club whiles the strategic committee chairman of Hearts of Oak, Vincent Odortei Sowah represented the club.
