Ghanaian coach, Yaw Preko believes that there is no spirit backing the current Hearts of Oak team as they keep hitting a poor run of form.
According to Preko, the lack of team spirit in the fold of the Phobians is hindering their ability to achieve its goals and lead to a less successful performance.
"I played against Hearts of Oak while I was coaching Nsoatreman, and the flair was not there," Preko told Sporty FM.
"Something is missing, but I can not pinpoint what is missing. It was a difficult game, but it was also easy to play against Hearts of Oak.
Hearts of Oak are currently battling a tough season, and their poor run has seen them slip to sixth in the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League table and knocked out of the FA Cup. It trails first-placed Bibiani Gold Stars by eleven points.
"They look spiritless, and even when you are losing against them, you know you can rally back and beat them."
The Phobians will host their bitter rivals Asante Kotoko this weekend (Sunday), having won just three of their past 11 matches in all competitions, with one of those victories coming against Medeama SC.
