Asante Kotoko head coach, Prosper Narteh Ogum is unfazed by his side's defeat to Bibiani Goldstars and strongly hopes to bounce back stronger in their subsequent matches.
The Porcupine Warriors were handed their first season lost after succumbing to a painful 2-1 defeat against the Miners at the Dun's Park last Saturday afternoon.
The game produced no goal at half time as all the drama were yielded in the second phase. Goldstars scored through Prince Adu Kwabena, Sheriff Mohammed equalised just three minutes later before Eric Bosomtwe scored with a beauty of a curler to win it for the homesters in the last fifteen minutes.
Speaking with StarTimes in a post-match interview, the Educationist says he isn't worried a bit, lauds his team's confidence and hopes they will find their rhythm and start getting the results very soon.
"You could see when after the whistle their heads were up. I mean there is nothing like a drop in confidence. We look very confident. We are motivated. We have come; we did our best; we lost. I don’t think we disgraced ourselves. We did well, only that out of nowhere we conceded that second goal.”
Asante Kotoko are winless in their two matches of the ongoing 2023/24 GPL campaign and will hope to end that appalling start against Karela United next week in match-day 3.
