Asante Kotoko gaffer, Prosper Narteh Ogum is impressed with his side's performance so far despite the poor start and added he needs time to build a strong side that can compete at the highest level.

The 45-year-old was renamed Kotoko's head coach few months ago and was in charge of the club throughout the preseason till now.

The Porcupine Warrior's start to the season has been a jittery one and are currently winless in their opening two matches of the ongoing 2023/24 football season.

They got held by newbies Kpando Heart of Lions to a goalless draw on the opening day before succumbing to a painful 2-1 loss at Bibiani Goldstars last week.

Speaking to the press ahead of their next game, the Educationist has described their current transition as a process and believes with time, he will build a redoubtable side that can match every challenge that comes their way.

"It is a process. We're putting together a whole team with a while lot of old and new players, different identities, different understanding of the game and intelligence. It'll take some time,” Prosper Narteh Ogum said during a press conference today

"To me, looking at the two games, they did well. As we keep training, we'll get there. It is a process, we're building a team that can compete at any level. You need some patience, time to be able to do that."

Asante Kotoko will face Karela United in match-day three on Sunday, October 1, at the Baba Yara Stadium.
