Asante Kotoko head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum has heaped praise on Berekum Chelsea’s Samuel Boadu ahead of their crucial Ghana Premier League encounter.

The Porcupine Warriors will host Chelsea at the Baba Yara Stadium on Wednesday in an outstanding Matchday 21 fixture of the Ghanaian top-flight league.

Speaking ahead of the clash, Ogum commended Boadu’s tactical acumen and achievements in Ghanaian football.

“Samuel Boadu is a very good coach and a good friend. On the domestic scene, he is one of the coaches I have a close relationship with. He is tactically sound and has seen it all. He has won the league and the FA Cup twice, which speaks volumes about his competence and quality. He is a fine gentleman and a great coach, and I believe the game will be exciting,” Ogum told Kotoko’s media team.

He also acknowledged the strength of Berekum Chelsea’s squad, highlighting key players who could make an impact in the match.

“Berekum Chelsea have quality players like Stephen Amankona, Zakaria Fuseini, Stephen Sarfo, and others. They have depth both on the field and on the bench, which will make the game even more competitive.”

Kotoko currently lead the Ghana Premier League table with 42 points from 23 games, while Chelsea sit in eighth place with 32 points. A victory for Kotoko will further strengthen their bid for the league title.
