Medeama SC midfielder, Rashid Nortey has stated categorically clear that, their ultimate target for this season is to win the Ghana Premier League- a task which has eluded them for a very long time.
The Mauves and Yellows have commenced the 2022/23 season on a higher note having recorded victories in their opening two matches.
Newly-appointed head coach, David Duncan led the team to a vital away triumph over Legon Cities in their opening game to end their home invincibility before coming from behind to beat RTU at home over the weekend in a five goal thriller.
They are among the only three teams to have won all their matches so far alongside Dreams FC and Aduana Stars.
The mercurial midfielder in an interview, has disclosed their ultimate aim is to finish the season as champions despite admitting how tedious the task will be.
"Our target is to win the league this season. The players we had a meeting and thought about that. It won't be easy because other clubs will also want to win but we know if we put in a little effort, we will win it this time."
Medeama SC will play as guest to Berekum Chelsea in match-week 3 this weekend.
