Highly-rated right back, Michael Ampadu is very close to joining Ghanaian topflight side Asante Kotoko, Kickgh.com exclusively reported this in July.
He is expected to come in as direct replacement for Christopher Nettey who left the club few days ago following the expiration of his contract
The 25 year old has been sensational and arguably one of the best laterals the GPL has seen in recent years. He posses so much quality as he is able to race back and forth quickly to always augment the effort of his team both in defence and attack.
Last season, the ex- Black Meteors lateral was an integral member for Legon Cities, having made 29 appearances in the league only and picked up from where he ended in the ongoing season.
According to the latest, the former Liberty Professionals skipper is in negotiations with the Reds and are very close to agreeing a deal with them.
His presence will definitely be really malleable for the Reds but will have to battle it out with youngster Augustine Agyapong, if only he will want to be a mainstay in the starting line up.
Michael Ampadu started off with the Black Galaxies in camp at Prampram and even featured against Qatar in an international friendly months ago but was subsequently dropped from the squad before the provisional CHAN squad.
