After Asante Kotoko were forced to terminate coach Prosper Narteh Ogum’s contract before the deal was set to expire, the club’s bank account will feel it.
As reported here on Kickgh.com on Monday evening, Porcupine Warriors announced Ogum's exit after a string of poor results and even more disappointing performances, as they went on a three-match winless run that culminated in a 2-0 defeat to Nations FC on Matchday 28.
The decision also meant that the club is obliged to cover Ogum's salary for the next three months as per the contract agreement.
According to reports, the Porcupine Warriors will pay the experienced tactician over 247,160.21 Ghanaian Cedi.
Ogum's departure has given a lifetime chance to Karim Zito to coach one of the biggest clubs in Ghana football as interim gaffer. The former Ghanaian International right-back has six games to convince the club’s bosses not to look elsewhere for a head coach next season.
