Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko might part ways with highly-rated goalkeeper Ibrahim Danlad, according to speculations in the local media.
The 21-year-old joined the Porcupine Warriors on a long-term contract after an impressive spell with the Black Starlets in both the 2017 U-17 Cup of Nations and World Cup.
He cemented his position after the exit of Razak Abalora and was the club's first choice when they won their last Ghana Premier League title in the 2021/22 football season.
However, he's struggled to command playing time in the just-finished 2023/24 season having made only thirteen appearances and kept four clean sheets and lost his first choice spot to Frederick Asare.
Speculations has it that, the Kotoko interim Management Committee will hold emergency meeting with some of the players whom they will terminate their contract subsequently including Danlad Ibrahim.
The Ghana youth international has popped up on the radar of two Premier League clubs already who have expressed interest and on standby ready to snatch his signature in case he becomes available.
Asante Kotoko finished 6th at the end of the season with 49 points and will hope to establish a formidable side to compete for the title next season.
