Và1ersatile defender David Oppong Afrane's highly-anticipated move to Hearts of Oak is reportedly off, per exclusive reports in the local media.

Since the opening of the ongoing transfer window, the versatile defender has strongly being linked with the move to the Phobians following his impressive campaign with King Faisal FC last season.

He was also an integral member of the Black Meteors squad during the 2023 Africa U-23 Cup of Nations qualifiers and in the main tournament- which held months ago in Morocco.

Hearts of Oak per reports, have already agreed personal terms with the player but have had their double offers of $12,000 and $20,000 all rejected, reason the deal hasn't materialized till now.

However, fresh reports say, the club have told David Oppong Afrane to return to Kumasi to resolve all issues he is having with King Faisal and with few days to close the window, it is very complicated for the deal to go through at the moment.

Hearts of Oak's preseason continue at the Kpobiman Sports Complex and have been impressive in terms of the team's readiness, performance and results, hoping to establish a redoubtable side for the 2023/24 season.
