After being released by giants Asante Kotoko last month, center-back Yahaya Dawuni has popped up on the radar of another Ghana Premier League side Kpando Heart of Lions who are pushing to lure him in the ongoing transfer window.
The 20-year-old joined the Reds last summer after an impressive spell with first division side Susubiribi United but struggled to command much playing time during his time with the heavyweights.
Despite having two years left in his contract and not given the opportunity to showcase what he's got, coach Prosper Narteh Ogum felt Dawuni's service won't be needed in the upcoming season hence called for the abrogation of his remaining contract
However, Heart of Lions have reportedly expressed strong interest in the young defender with negotiations ongoing and are willing to hand him a two-year deal should both parties finalize everything in the coming weeks.
The Giant Killers after narrowly escaping relegation last season, are looking to put up a winsome squad for the new campaign as they look to establish themselves as a mainstay in the topflight.
