Hearts of Oak, in response to mounting pressure and dissatisfaction from their fans, have reached out to renowned football scout Roy Arthur for the vacant position of Sporting Director at the club, according to a report filed by Sportsworldghana.
The capital club endured a turbulent 2022/23 season, narrowly avoiding relegation until the final game. Disappointed with the club's executive hierarchy, led by Alhaji Braimah and Vincent Odotei, fans have been vocal about their dissatisfaction with the poor recruitment plans in recent years.
Seeking a fresh direction for the club, supporters have strongly endorsed Roy Arthur, the former CEO of Ashantigold and B.A United, as well as the current Sporting Director of Legon Cities. Hearts of Oak has officially approached him to consider joining the club.
With almost two decades of experience as a shrewd football scout, intermediary, and head of sporting projects for various clubs and academies in Ghana and Europe, Roy Arthur brings a wealth of knowledge to the table.
His expertise spans football sporting projects, including scouting, recruitment, transfers, and club administration.
