Medeama SC are currently leading the Ghana Premier League and have been promised a whooping $2m package from their headline sponsors Goldfields if they don't falter and move on to emerge champions.
Goldfields is a mining company and the club's main sponsors who supports the Tarkwa-based side with a $300,000 every year and also nears completion of the renovation of the T.N.A Park to a 10,000 seater which could be used by the club in the 2023/24 season.
However, speculations in the local media has it that, the entire playing body and technical team of Medeama SC have been asked to win the league to share the said amount.
The Mauves and Yellows annihilated giants Hearts of Oak by 1-5 last week to move to the summit of the league and are currently leading the GPL log with 53 points with three matches to spare
They will host relegation-bound King Faisal in a must win encounter at the Akoon Park.
