Hearts of Oak midfielder, Michelle Sarpong has agreed to a new six years contract extension which will tie him down in the capital until 2029, reports from a deep throat source.

The 24-year-old is one of the few players in the Hearts squad at the moment that was nurtured from the youth side Auroras FC- where he captained at some point until he was promoted to the first team in 2019 by then head coach Kim Grant.

With the senior side, Sarpong debuted competitively against Dreams FC before scoring his first against WAFA- all in the 2019 Normalization Committee Special competition.

He battled injuries at some point and somehow delayed his progression and was part of Hearts of Oak's domestic treble winning side in the 2020/21 season.

The enterprising middleman has spent the last two seasons on loan, at Elmina Sharks two seasons ago, and Dreams FC just last season.

Having returned to the Rainbow Club at the moment and has already commenced preseason, Michelle Sarpong per reports is very close to agreeing to a new deal which will maintain his relationship with Hearts of Oak until 2029, with his current contract set to expire next year.

He will hope to establish himself as a mainstay this time around ahead of the new season and that has to be executed on performance and nothing else.
