Highly-rated goalkeeper in the Ghana Premier League, Richard Attah is on the verge of leaving Hearts of Oak after five years, per reports in the local media.
The bulky shot-stopper switched to the 'Phobians' camp in 2019 after an impressive spell with Elmina Sharks and straight away became the club's first-choice on arrival.
The 29-year-old was outstanding and unbeatable in the 2020/21 season when Hearts of Oak clinched the league title after over a decade and subsequently achieved the domestic treble.
However, his performance honestly has been dropping offlate and has come under a huge scrutiny with his weight. Despite starting the 2023/24 season as first choice, he lost the spot on several occasions and wasn't in borne of contention in the latter part of the season.
The stalwart goalie made 13 league appearances and conceded 12 goals within the process with 2 clean sheets to his belt.
Rumours are that, the player's service is currently not needed at Hearts of Oak and will be informed very soon by the top officials of the club to move and seek a different challenge elsewhere.
Richard Attah was part of the Black Stars final squad at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations staged in Cameroon.
