FC Samartex 1996 have confirmed the signing of “generational midfield talent” Solomon Adjei from Division One club Okwahu United on a three-year contract.
The reigning Ghana Premier League champions have been keen to bolster their attacking midfield options in the off season transfer window following the yet-to-be confirmed decision to allow Emmanuel Keyekeh to join Tanzanian mainland side Singida Black Stars FC.
"We are delighted to unveil highly-skilled Solomon Adjei as our new attacking midfielder on a three-year deal," Samartex announced on Wednesday.
"Adjei brings with him a stunning talent, having previously played for Division One side, Okwahu United.
"His arrival adds a new dimension to our team."
Adjei, fondly called "Mputu Ball Wura" due to his huge football talent could make his debut against Cameroonian side Victoria United FC in the preliminary round of the 2024-25 CAF Champions League encounter.
The Timber giants will travel to Limbe, Cameroon, for the first leg tie before hosting their opponents in the reverse fixture at the Accra Sports Stadium.
He becomes the latest Timber Giant and the fourth signing of the club in the off-season.
