Communication Director of Asante Kotoko, Samuel Sarfo Duku Esq. has stated they still have their double winning ambition intact even though they haven't been really impressive in the past few weeks

Despite being touted as favourites to win the league especially prior to the commencement of the second round, the Porcupine Warriors had their campaign taken a huge twist having lost the top-spot after a four-game winless run which led to the jettisoning of coach Prosper Narteh Ogum

Experienced gaffer Abdul Karim Zito took over subsequently and is currently unbeaten in his first three games having sent them to the FA Cup final and are now just three points off the top with four matches to spare

Speaking on Media General's Akoma FM in Kumasi, the seasoned legal practitioner made it very clear that all cracks have been patched and will continue to fight for the double which has been their main target heading into the ongoing season

“Our goal of winning the double remains intact, and that is our primary focus right now."

He further stated they won't be any squad overhaul at the club in the upcoming transfer window as they look only few players to the current one

"Despite the fact that players and their agents from Ghana and beyond have express great interest in playing for Kotoko on a daily basis, I can tell our supporters that the club will not buy and transferring players in bulk, come next season.

"This act is clearly detrimental to the club's future, and both parties, namely management and the technical team, have agreed that it will occur.

"Certainly, there will be one or two additions, but they won't be numerous, as it has been the case in recent seasons."

Asante Kotoko will face Dreams FC in the next round of matches of the Ghana Premier League
