Hearts of Oak head coach, Slavko Matic is still very optimistic of winning the league despite having their season somehow been inconsistent so far.
The 'Phobians' lost their recent five game invincibility after tasting a painful 1-0 loss to Real Tamale United last Sunday night at the Aliu Mahama Stadium in GPL week 16.
Manaf Umar Gumah's magnificent long range hit from almost 20 meters went straight into the top corner with Richmond Ayi completely beaten on that.
After tasting their third defeat of the season, the Serbian tactician believes they lost due to their inefficiency upfront and got punished afterwards.
He further noted that, they still stand a chance of winning the league with 18 more games to play. He said;
"When you don’t score three times, one against one with goalkeeper, second half from 2 meters. Then the opponents score from 20 meter. They punish you for your chances, what you didn’t score.”
"Of course[It’s not over yet]. A lot of games. About 18 games. We still have a chance. We must believe more. We must work harder."
“The defeat is painful but we must continue. Tomorrow is another day. We need to prepare for the next match. This is football."
