Asante Kotoko defender Joseph Ablorh has boldly claimed that Hearts of Oak lacks a threatening striker and has expressed confidence in a dominant victory in the much-anticipated Super Clash on Sunday.
Ablorh, who joined the Porcupine Warriors at the start of the 2024/25 season on a two-year deal from Guinean giants Hafia FC, has been a key figure in the Kotoko defense.
The 26-year-old has made 11 league appearances this season and was instrumental in their recent 2-0 league victory over Aduana Stars, as well as their FA Cup win against lower-tier side Future Stars.
The Porcupine Warriors, who had endured a challenging four-game losing streak, appear to have regained momentum following their recent win, boosting morale ahead of the clash with their arch-rivals.
Speaking to the club's official media after training, Ablorh exuded confidence, dismissing Hearts of Oak's attacking threat.
“Our game against Hearts of Oak is an easy one because I have played against good strikers outside, and I don't see any tough strikers at Hearts. We shall win against Hearts on Sunday,” Ablorh stated.
The Super Clash, Ghana’s most iconic football fixture, is scheduled for Sunday, December 15, at 15:00 GMT at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
