Kwasi Appiah, the Technical Director of Asante Kotoko, expressed his belief that the team will experience improvements by the conclusion of the first half of the ongoing 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season.
Despite recruiting over 10 new players before the season began, the team has faced challenges under the guidance of head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum. Their current record stands at two wins, three draws, and one defeat.
Nevertheless, with new players and a new coach in place, Appiah has confidence that the team will adapt to the coach's tactics and make progress before the second half of the season. He acknowledges that it takes time for the players to become acquainted with one another but remains optimistic that the team will show progress by the end of the first round.
"The players are now adapting to the coach's tactics. It's not easy when you have a new coach and new players coming together from different clubs. They need time to understand each other, but I believe it will happen over time," the 63-year-old stated in an interview with Asempa FM.
"I am sure that by the end of the first round, the team will shape up," added the recently appointed Sudan head coach.
Currently, Asante Kotoko occupies the 7th position on the Premier League table with 9 points and is preparing to face Bechem United in their upcoming match at the Baba Yara Stadium.
