Martin Koopman, the coach of Hearts of Oak, has openly expressed his frustration with the club's lackluster performance in the current league season.
Despite an impressive pre-season campaign, the once-prominent Ghanaian football team has managed to secure only one victory in their first five matches and has scored just one goal.
This underwhelming start to the season has left many fans deeply concerned, with some even calling for Koopman's removal as coach. Currently, Hearts of Oak is positioned in the relegation zone after five matches, and they still have a pending fixture against Hearts of Lions.
Acknowledging the disappointment felt by fans, players, and himself, Koopman expressed hope that in the next game, they can secure a victory and bring some relief to the supporters.
"For the fans, I know they are sad, I'm also sad, as well as my players, so I hope in the next game I can give them the three points," the Dutch coach remarked.
In the upcoming week seven of the Ghana Premier League, Hearts of Oak is set to face Bibiani Goldstars away at the formidable Dun's Park, a challenge that Koopman is determined to confront and overcome.
