Asante Kotoko head coach, Abdul Karim Zito is very amazed about his side’s defeat to Heart of Lions on Saturday, in match-day 21 of the Ghana Premier League League.

The Porcupine Warriors got thumped on 3-1 in Kpando by the Giant Killers in a very surprise fashion judging from how abysmal they have been and the fact that all bookmakers never tipped them to win.

Asante Seedorf Afful opened the scoring account in the 35th minute before Fawzi Ali added another to hand them a two-goal lead in the interval.

Thirteen minutes into the second half, Kotoko captain Samba O’Neil converted a penalty to pull one back before Michael Ephson scored to restore their two-goal before full-time.

Speaking after the game, Karim Zito expressed a huge surprise stating they really prepared very hard for the game and so the defeat is something he never anticipated

“This is football for you. I wasn’t expecting this score line because seriously we prepared well for this game and most especially the set pieces they scored the two goals from because we have been practicing how to defend and attack set pieces.”

Asante Kotoko after this defeat could drop from the second to the third position depending on the outcomes of the remaining games for the round.
