Bibiani Goldstars head coach Frimpong Manso has downplayed suggestions that the Ghana Premier League title race is solely between his side and Asante Kotoko, highlighting Nations FC as a strong contender.

Goldstars and Kotoko are currently tied on 47 points each after 26 rounds of matches. They are closely trailed by Nations FC with 45 points and Medeama SC on 41 points, setting up a tense final stretch of the campaign with seven matches to go.

Speaking ahead of their midweek fixture, Manso stressed that the title race remains wide open, and his team’s focus is firmly on winning the league.

“The Ghana Premier League title race is not just between Kotoko and Goldstars,” Manso stated. “Nations FC are serious contenders. Our objective is to win the title, and that hasn’t changed. But it will all depend on how we approach our remaining matches.”

Bibiani Goldstars will be aiming to keep their title hopes alive when they travel to face Bechem United in an outstanding GPL clash on Wednesday afternoon, with both sides eager to secure maximum points.
