The deputy CEO of beleaguered Adansi based club, New Edubiase United, Nana Kwame, has confirmed to kickgh.com that the Bekwai Gyamfi park will be ready for the second of the season as they prepare the grounds to take on Medeama SC in the reversed edition of their last match of the first of the Ghana premier league.
The Bekwai Gyamfi park was neglected before the start of the season because it could not reach the standard needed under the club licencing which prompted the club to use the Obuasi Len Clay Sports Stadium as an alternative in the first round of the league.
"We are working very hard to put things in place to catch up in time for the second round of the league. Spiritually and physically, we are working hard to make it possible to play at the Gyamfi"- says Nana Kwame
Nana Kwame who couldn't be specific on whether New Edubiase wasn't treated fairly by the PLB on where to play their home games says it came as a surprise to them when they heard other clubs where allowed to use their grounds for their home games because it was communicated to them before the start of the season that only five venues will be approved for premier league games.
"We were told by the PLB that only the Accra, Kumasi, Takoradi, Tamale and Obuasi will be the venues for this seasons premier league so we quickly had to settle in for Obuasi".
New Edubiase United are on the 16th position on the league log after the first round of the Ghana premier league.
