Asante Kotoko head coach Karim Zito has emphasized that the Ghana Premier League is a marathon, stressing the importance of consistency as his side chases the teams at the top of the table.
Zito believes that while the journey is long, Kotoko can still position themselves strongly if they remain focused and continue to push hard.
Asked whether his players understand the goal of catching the league leaders, Zito delivered a clear and steady message.
“It’s a marathon race. Some teams may start well but fail to finish strongly. Others may be in the middle or at the back, but by the end, they can still come out on top. What matters is that the end justifies the means. We are going to work seriously towards that,” he told Asante Kotoko TV.
Kotoko now turn their attention to Sunday’s clash with Dreams FC at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium. Kickoff is set for 3:00 pm on December 14, a crucial opportunity for the Porcupine Warriors to strengthen their position in the league race.
