Aduana FC defender Stephen Anokye Badu has commended his teammates for their hard work following the Dormaa-based side’s 1-0 triumph over Heart of Lions in their Ghana Premier League clash on Friday.
The experienced centre-back played the full 90 minutes and was named Man of the Match, playing a key role in securing the win that temporarily moved Aduana FC to the top of the league table.
Speaking after the game, Anorkye Badu expressed his delight with the victory and praised the team’s fighting spirit.
“We are happy that we have been able to get a win here,” he said. “Most of the time we only draw here, but today, by the Grace of God, we have gotten the win. In our last game, we only drew at home, so today we wanted to fight for the win, and by the Grace of God, we have taken all three points.”
Friday’s victory has temporarily propelled Aduana FC to the summit of the Ghana Premier League standings, pending the outcomes of the remaining Week 14 fixtures scheduled for Saturday and Sunday.
