Asante Kotoko interim coach Prince Yaw Owusu has insisted that the Porcupine Warriors remain in the race for the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League title, despite their goalless draw with Vision FC at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday.
Speaking after the match, Owusu highlighted that results elsewhere in the league keep the title race wide open.
“The title chase is not over yet, have you checked on Hearts, Medeama etc results over the weekend? So the race is still open up, we just have to prepare ourselves and then see what we can do when we go to Tamale,” he said.
Kotoko will face Karela United in their Matchweek 25 clash at the Aliu Mahama Stadium in Tamale, a fixture Owusu says will be crucial for keeping the title push alive.
The draw against Vision FC leaves Kotoko in fourth place, seven points adrift of league leaders Medeama SC.
