Interim boss Prince Yaw Owusu believes that Asante Kotoko’s inability to convert chances in their 0-0 draw against Vision FC was partly due to the pressure of playing at home.

Speaking after the Week 24 Ghana Premier League clash at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Owusu suggested that Kotoko perform more freely in away matches, while home fixtures can sometimes weigh on the players.

“I think they feel a bit pressured when playing at home and I could see it through the way they perform. When we go out (away), they are free, they try to play. At Wenchi, it was amazing how they got the two early goals and today we had those same chances early in the game but they could not bury it,” Owusu explained.

Kotoko dominated possession with 60% and created more chances throughout the match but were unable to find the net. The hosts registered nine shots on target and eight off target, while Vision FC, reduced to 10 men for part of the game, managed seven shots on target and three off target.

The draw marks another dropped point for the Porcupine Warriors as they pursue the league leaders, leaving them in fourth place and seven points behind the summit.
