Bibiani Goldstars Chief Executive Officer, Kwesi Adu has insisted that, the referee that handled their game against Kotoko had a very good game and had all his two penalty calls right.
The champions played out to a thrilling 1-1 stalemate with the Miners last Monday afternoon at the Dun's Park in the last fixture of match-week 13 of the GPL.
The Porcupine Warriors opened the scoring account in the first half through Steven Mukwala.
But two controversial penalties were given to GoldStars subsequently in the second but goalkeeper Frederick Asare rose to the occasion to deny all the two though he wasn't lucky with the first to aid Kotoko runout with a point from Bibiani.
In an interview with Oyerepa FM in Kumasi, Mr. Kwasi Adu sees nothing wrong with the penalties awarded to his club and has dubbed them as clear once. He added Kotoko are too big to complain about the performance of referees after matches. He said;
“As a CEO,I hardly talk about a referee after a game,you shift blames when you do that.
The two penalties were all clear penalties.The first was a clear handball and with the second,the two players heckled our player.There was a contact and it makes it a foul.
Kotoko is too big a club to talk about a referee’s issue after a game.”
Bibiani Goldstars are still having their unbeaten run intact and has been extended to nine matches.
