Hearts of Oak defender Baba Adamu has revealed the team’s positive mindset heading into their Ghana Premier League encounter with Berekum Chelsea, following a morale-boosting win over rivals Asante Kotoko.
The Phobians edged Kotoko 1-0 at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi, with Adamu himself scoring the decisive goal—a well-placed header that sailed over goalkeeper Mohammed Camara.
The victory propelled Hearts from fourth to second place in the league table, closing the gap to five points behind leaders Medeama SC.
Speaking ahead of Sunday’s clash at the University of Ghana Stadium, Adamu expressed confidence in his teammates’ preparedness and motivation.
“We are very confident ahead of the game against Berekum Chelsea, especially after last week’s Super Clash win against Kotoko. That victory has really motivated us, and we want to maintain our consistency. We are well prepared for this match,” Adamu stated.
Berekum Chelsea currently sit 14th in the league standings, providing Hearts with a chance to further strengthen their push toward the top.
