Emmanuel Akuoko, former captain of Aduana Stars, has expressed his disappointment in the entire technical team and players of the club for failing to secure the 2022/23 Premier League title, thereby letting down the owner and bankroller, Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Agyemang Badu II.
Throughout a major part of the season, the Ogya Boys held the top position in the Premier League standings but faltered towards the end, allowing Medeama to clinch their first league title.
Having spent over a decade at Aduana and winning two league titles with the club, Akuoko revealed the heartbreaking nature of their loss.
“The club has really disappointed their life patron, Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Nana Agyemang-Badu II. Aduana moved to the 1st position in week 7 and maintained the position for a long time but unfortunately lost the title to Medeama at the later part of the season."
"I was very hurt when they lost the league. For me, the playing body didn’t do well at all losing the title at the eleventh hour,” he said.
