Basake Holy Stars head coach, Abdulai Gazale after leading them to their first ever win in the Ghanaian topflight, has stated they were overlooked by the 'Phobians' and they punished them.
The Green-Blacks exhibited a gallant performance to narrowly edge giants Hearts of Oak by 0-1 at the Ohene Gyan Stadium in match-day one of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League.
The visitors started on a good note and found the back of the net in just two minutes from kickoff through Prince Tweneboa and preserved their lead until full time.
Reacting to the feet he's just achieved, Gazale- the enterprising tactician, has reiterated that, they disciplined the 21-time champions for underrating them heading into the game. He said in a post-match presser;
"They underrated us. When you even hear people's comments before the game. I saw comments on their flyer, saying we should come and collect goals. If you disrespect your opponents, they will discipline you."
Basake Holy Stars will host Dreams FC in the next round of matches next week..
