In a challenging match at the Dawu Theater of Dreams, Asante Kotoko suffered a 2-0 defeat against Dreams FC, adding to their recent string of setbacks.
The loss underscores Kotoko's struggles in the second round of the Ghana Premier League, with Coach Prosper Ogum managing only one win thus far.
Following the disappointing result, former Asante Kotoko and Tema Youth coach, Isaac "Opeele" Boateng, took to his social media account to offer candid advice to his counterpart.
Boateng urged Coach Ogum to consider stepping down from his position as soon as possible, perhaps signaling a need for change within the coaching setup of the team.
“Coach Ogum who won the league now reduced to shreds. Coaching Kotoko is not about your prowess but a good management set-up. The best decision I ever made in my life was to step down at Kotoko. This is the kind of disgrace they nearly did to destroy my image. Step down Ogum!,” he posted on X.
With the looming challenge of facing league leaders Samartex on Saturday, Kotoko will need to regroup quickly to overcome their recent difficulties and strive for improved performances in upcoming fixtures.
