Exclusive update reaching Kickgh.com is that three foreign-based players are expected to arrive in Ghana to join Asante Kotoko by the close of this week as the club look set for another massive squad overhaul ahead of the 2025/26 season

The Porcupine Warriors were involved in a massive player exodus last year and were kept very busy in the last two transfer windows having brought on board over 15 new players but all proved futile

Two goalkeepers Mohammed Camara and Benjamin Twum all joined alongside some outfield players like Emmanuel Antwi, Samba O'Neil, Albert Amoah, Isaac Mintah, Kwame Opoku, Sampson Eduku, Nigerian import Wisdom Fernando Bassey and a whole lot.

However, things still couldn't go their way despite a great start to the campaign having missed out on the ultimate but managed to secure a top four finish in the end over bitter and eternal rivals Hearts of Oak with a better head-to-head after they both tied on 58 points each

In their quest to rebuild for next season, lots of players have been linked to the Manhyia-owned club namely Charles Gyamfi Kamara of Bibiani Goldstars, Berekum Chelsea duo of captain Zackaria Fuseini and Hubert Gyau and others

The latest is that three foreign-based players are also expected to touch down in Kumasi this weekend to have their medicals with Kotoko, with two from Sudan and the other from the Republic of Congo but their names still remain unknown as of now

Asante Kotoko are hoping to patch up some cracks this time and also make strategic additions to their current team in order to challenge for their 26th league title next season

The 'Kum Apem' lads will face lower division side Golden Kick FC in the final of the 2024/25 MTN FA Cup at the University of Ghana Stadium, Accra, on Sunday, 15th June 2025.
