The brand new $16 million TNA Stadium, with a capacity of 13,000 seats, has been given preliminary permission to host Ghana Premier League games by the Ghana Football Association's Club Licensing Department.
However, the stadium still needs to meet all requirements before receiving full approval.
This is because it currently lacks an inner perimeter, which was identified as essential during recent inspections.
The stadium will be re-inspected on August 30, 2024, allowing its management to resolve any outstanding issues.
Medeama SC, who have chosen this stadium as their home ground, are looking forward to receiving final approval so they can fully utilize the facility for the coming season.
The Ghana Premier League season is set to begin on September 6th, and the TNA Stadium's approval is essential for the upcoming season.
The club and their fans are optimistic that the necessary renovations will be finished before the season starts, allowing them to host games in the modern stadium.
