National Chapters Committee(NCC) Chairman, Elvis Hesse Hermann has said that Togbe Afede XIV should be blamed for Hearts of Oak's woes.

Hearts of Oak have been eliminated from the CAF Confederations Cup by Malian side AS Bamako.

Hearts of Oak lost by 3:0 away before winning 1:0 at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, to drop out on 3:1 aggregate.

The 2004/05 Confederations Cup winners sacked their head coach, Samuel Boadu Boadu and his backroom staff before their first leg.

Newly appointed assistant coach, David Ocloo led the team in both legs, but surprisingly, Hearts of Oak top management allowed Samuel Boadu to give a team talk ahead of their victory on Sunday.

The top hierarchy of the club head by majority shareholder and board chairman Togbe Afede have come under intense criticism.

Hesse Hermann insists that Togbe Afede should be solely blamed for the clubs misfortunes.

"The Board Chairman is running the club directly and Odotei and Akambi are just messengers," he said on Happy FM.

"The Board chairman should take all the blame if he gets all the accolades. If Akambi and Odotei are good he should take them to his private businesses and swap them with Hearts of Oak. The supporters cannot always be wrong," he insisted.
