Asante Kotoko SC are reportedly preparing to part ways with Guinean forward Morifing Donzo at the end of the current season as part of a wider squad review ahead of the next campaign.
Donzo has made 27 appearances for the Porcupine Warriors, scoring five goals since joining the club. However, his overall output is said to have fallen below expectations for a striker at Kotoko.
The forward has also struggled to secure a consistent starting role throughout the season, often rotating in and out of the squad depending on tactical decisions and competition for places.
Kotoko are believed to be targeting improvements in attacking efficiency, with the expected departure of Donzo forming part of plans to reshape their frontline.
Despite flashes of effort and physical presence, the club is aiming for more consistent goal contributions from its attackers moving forward.
With the season nearing its end, final decisions on player contracts are expected soon, and Donzo’s exit is likely to be confirmed alongside other squad changes.
