Hearts of Oak board member, Vincent Odotei Sowah has openly disclosed that, experience gaffer Annor Walker is not willing to takeover the Hearts of Oak job despite series of attempts to get his service.

The 'Phobians' have been on the lookout for a new head coach for almost a month now since the jettisoning of Samuel Boadu after their drawn game against sworn rivals Asante Kotoko in match-week 3 of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League- which is currently on hold.

Newly-appointed assistant David Ocloo, currently heads the club for now with the support of Samuel Nii Noi, until a substantive gaffer is announced.

The Rainbow club got evicted from the CAF Confederations Cup- a competition they clinched the inaugural edition in 2004 after an astonishing 3-1 on aggregate loss to Malian side Real Bamako.

Among the coaches linked to the vacant Hearts of Oak coaching role was Annor Walker, who is currently the head coach of Samartex FC and has already stated he will only switch to the capital if his current club gives him the greenlight.

Speaking to Hot FM in Accra, the former MP for La Dadekotopon has stated straight that, the Black Galaxies gaffer has exhibited clearly his disinterest for the job and would have appointed him by now if he was willing to join them.

"Coach Annor Walker does not want to coach Hearts Of Oak and this is the truth. What I can say is that if he wanted to coach Hearts, we would have brought him to the club. He does not want to coach Hearts of oak that's all I can say."
