Hearts of Oak midfielder, Abdul Karim excelled very well in his competitive debut for Hearts of Oak but was still not enough to earn them the win and has apologized to their supporters on behalf of the entire squad and assured they will hit the grounds running very soon.
The Rainbow Club kicked off the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season against newbies Hohoe United and unfortunately failed to pick maximum points in a very exciting opener at the Ohene Gyan Stadium last night.
The lanky midfielder, who just joined from Nations FC, lasted the entire duration of the game and controlled the midfield very well and earned himself the man of the match accolade.
Speaking after the game on TV3, the Black Galaxies middleman stated they couldn’t get the goal because they faced a low-block side but added the goals will in their next matches which will get the wins in their su subsequent games.
“We apologize to our supporters for not being able to win. We really wanted to win but it didn’t happen. Our opponents sat back too much so it made difficult but we will work hard to get the goals in our subsequent matches.”
Hearts of Oak will come up against Dreams FC in the next round of matches
