Togbe Afede, the chairman of Hearts of Oak, has defended the club's infrastructure and progress amidst recent fan protests calling for the board's dissolution.
Following a demonstration by a group of fans, Togbe expressed confusion regarding their grievances, citing the club's comprehensive facilities and advancements.
"What do they want that we haven't done? We've done everything. After all, the only thing that Hearts don't have is a stadium," Togbe remarked, emphasizing the club's comparative advantage over others in the country.
He added, "We are streets ahead of all our counterparts. I would even say that we will emerge as one of the very best in the whole of the subregion."
Togbe's remarks underscore his belief in the club's progress and infrastructure development under his leadership, despite challenges on the field.
While Togbe's tenure has seen notable off-field advancements, such as facility upgrades, on-field success, including one league title and two FA Cups, has been limited, prompting scrutiny from some fans.
